Tracking Chimaera – a peripatetic guide (2020)

This live streamed concert project gave voice to “the sprawl of space/time/flesh in aggregations of techno-biologic complicities”.   Book has been ‘tracking’ the figure-figment of the Chimaera (her preferred spelling) for over 2 decades.  She considers tracking is as much tracing, ghosting, chasing, doubling back, losing the trail, taking a ponder, hiccup, heartburn, hiatus, or sheer jump cut.   This radically wayward’ guide’ serves as an expeditionary entreaty for returning to senses – deliriously deranged within and among body states – solid, liquid, electric, imaginary. Book deployed voice, processing, live sound effects, recorded materials as tools for her trek. Book was invited to perform afrom her studio part of “Vox Effusis”, a live-streamed series curated by Lou Mallozzi for the Experimental Sound Studio’s “Quarantine Concert Series”, Chicago, at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic in June, 2020.
